First, make sure that you put a ! in front of the mozilla/AddTrust_External_Root.crt line - not a comment character (#).
mozilla/AddTrust_External_Root.crt
Second, make sure your ca-certificates package is up-to-date, by running:
apt-get update && apt-get install ca-certificates
