Andrew, thank you for this very lucid article.

I have been philosophically uneasy with systemd ever since it rolled out on Arch and have read many opinions and counter-opinions on the matter. A few months ago I put a Manjaro spin (Fluxbox & openRC) on my laptop and everything worked just fine. I think, in light of the above arguments, I've reached the tipping point to take a deep breath and point my primary Arch system to the openRC alternatives. Thank you.
