Making the world aware of the sort of thing systemd folks think is okay is the most responsible thing one can do.

Everyone knew systemd was a mess. Everyone knew they were going to try to take over the world. Everyone knew it was bound to have problems like this. They were warned many times already, and chose to go with Lennart's handwaving anyway.
