You forgot that the most important reason for not using it is that it is totally undebuggable. You cannot strace it, cannot gdb it etc... Just because it's PID1. Can you imagine a system without strace ? It exists with systemd cancering more and more of your system, and it's a real pain each time I end up on such a self-sustaining system which refuses to cooperate with humans.
